Thanks to Robocalls, phone number spoofing can be considered annoying and overall a bad practice, but for our dealers it has proven to be the exact opposite. Approximately 70% of Central Station outbound phone calls to subscribers go unanswered. This is largely due to subscribers not recognizing the phone number and confusing the call for a spam.
Caller ID spoofing allows you to display a phone number different than the actual number from which the call was placed. Caller ID spoofing technology works for both phone calls and text messages on your smartphone.
With caller ID spoofing, users can place calls from any caller ID they wish to display. Users can send and receive outgoing or incoming spoofed phone calls or texts from a phone number of their choosing or show their Caller ID as “Unknown”.
Security Partners offers our Caller ID Spoofing service to control the number that the Central Station uses to communicate to subscribers. The number will then be the same each time that dealer’s subscribers are contacted via phone call or auto text. This will allow the subscriber to know that their Security Provider is calling them and then they are more likely to answer.
